If you are wanting to see some of the more reclusive animals of Fossil Rim, we have the tour for you. ⬇️🦏🐺 This three-hour Behind-The-Scenes experience takes you deep into Fossil Rim’s Intensive Management Area, home to the Attwater’s prairie chicken, black rhino, cheetah, and Mexican wolf. New this year: guests will also visit the southern white rhino barn and get a look inside the prep kitchen at Animal Discoveries. Tickets are $75 per person, and participants must be at least 8 years old. �

How do you check up on free roaming animals? 🐃🦌 The animals of Fossil Rim live in a semi-free range environment, which is great for herd instincts. It does make it more difficult to treat animals when they need it. So we use methods that make sense for "wild" animals, much like when Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi, the Government of Chad and Sahara Conservation reintroduced the scimitar horned oryx. You have to get access to a herd of animals with as minimal an impact as possible. #wildlifeconser
